I would like to see Council complete a strategic plan in their term!

These are the same people making up Council as before the 2014 election and still no strategic plan for this term. Did they have one for the prior term that they acted on?

I don’t know what they are doing exceeding their mandate by 19 years.

Times must be good down at City Hall with the 3.8% tax increase.

Don’t worry about it – there is no rush, this plan will not be fully built until 2040. What kind of a rabbit hole has Council and this expensive consultant taken us into? Everyone I know in business is scrapping the strategic planning process, driving their companies with quarterly and annual results with short bursts of implementation. But Burlington has a crystal ball that exceeds their mandate ( let me see 2040 – 2019 = 21) by 21 years. At least with the Official Plan which this elected crew promised for long ago was within their legislative mandate. No matter, with a 2040 time horizon, you can put off just about everything, not worrying about ineffective day-to-day implementation.
