The Family room is one of those spaces that just works. Here the Burlington Teen Tour Band marches into the room with every instrument blaring away. It was a great day for the Centre and the day the BTTB made the place their home base.

The Burlington Teen Tour Band is a marching band that becomes the center of their lives for the teens who put on the red jackets.

In the documentary they call themselves Band Geeks.

The film tells the story of the lead up to the 2018 Rose Parade that took place in Pasadena, California.

It is the story of a group of kids who grow up as they practice and prepare for the 10km event that is seen in 240 nations.

Anyone who is involved with the band will have seen the documentary – for those who aren’t part of that circle here is a link to the film.

The band is part of the city’s DNA – it is a beautiful story.

I had heard about the Burlington Teen Band many times over the years; had seen them practicing many times. The video is such a wonderful, heart-warming story and a real tribute to dedicated, talented teens and the adults who work with them. Thanks for the post.
