BURLINGTON, ON

It is those that persist that eventually reach their goal.

Central high school parents believe that their school is part of the vibrant downtown city hall continually speaks of – and they think they might have found a part of what is needed to make that vitality real.

Out of the blue has come an interest by a performing arts businessman, resident in Burlington, owner of an arts management agency and involved in the development of an interesting festival in the city.

This individual wasn’t aware that Central high school has a state of the art collection of technology in their theatre that has had the seating put through a major upgrade.

He is interested and will be meeting with some of the Central high team that is looking for every bit of support they can get.

It is those who don’t give up that make things happen. Stay tuned!

I agree that those who work towards their goals can make things happen.

This could be a very interesting action should Central be closed or even if it is not some agreement reached by the Halton School Board and this person. I suspect that it is difficult dealing with a school board who have different priorities from an arts manager.

There are already two amateur (ish) locations where conservative productions are put on. There is BPAC as well putting on some fine professional level performing events. Does Burlington need more conservative safe productions or edgy progressive thinking performing companies/festivals?
